At OlyChamp (created by Jigyasa), we take children's privacy with the utmost seriousness. Our application is designed for young children (ages 5–7), and our business model relies entirely on transparent subscriptions, never on advertising or user data harvesting.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the absolute minimum information required to operate your account and sync practice progress:
- Parent Mobile Number: Used exclusively for secure SMS OTP authentication and account recovery. We do not sell or share this number.
- Child Nickname (Optional): A display name chosen by the parent (e.g., "Aarav" or "Child 1") to distinguish multiple profiles under one account.
- Learning & Practice History: Chapters attempted, question answers, and completion timestamps, used solely to power the spaced-repetition review algorithm.
2. What We Strictly Do NOT Collect
- We do NOT collect device location, microphone, camera, or contact list data.
- We do NOT collect biometric data, school names, or residential addresses.
- We do NOT run third-party advertising SDKs (e.g. Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network).
- We do NOT track children across other apps or websites.
3. Offline Storage & Data Security
Question banks, illustrations, and active practice sets are cached locally on your device for fast offline access. When connected to the internet, practice logs sync securely over encrypted HTTPS (TLS 1.3) to our backend servers.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated practice data at any time. To request data deletion, simply send an email from your registered email address or contact us at tanu@olychamp.in with your registered mobile number. We will permanently delete your account within 7 business days.
5. Compliance with Child Protection Standards
OlyChamp complies with the principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), India, as well as global child privacy standards (COPPA and GDPR-K), ensuring no behavioral profiling or targeted advertising of minors.
